Junior AR Caller – Physician Billing
Job Description
Duties:
Professional Claim Follow-up: Make a lot of outgoing calls to government and commercial insurance companies to look into overpaid, delayed, or pending medical claims.
Physician Aging Inventory Management: Prioritize high-value clinician bills and urgent filing-limit deadlines by reviewing and auditing pending claims that are in the 30, 60, 90, and 120+ day aging buckets.
Outpatient DenialResolution: Examine verbal or electronic claim denials and address common mistakes in the call loop, such as basic plan eligibility flaws, coordination of benefits difficulties, or mismatches in demographics.
Real-Time Account Documentation: Record call tracking numbers, representative names, and clear resolution deadlines in your thorough, step-by-step notes of every communication you have with insurance agents within the Practice Management software.
HIPAA Protocol Enforcement: Verify security checkpoints with insurance agents before disclosing any Protected Health Information, making sure that US HIPAA privacy regulations are strictly followed.
Focus Skills:
Perfect Verbal Articulation: Clear telephone etiquette specific to business-to-business settings, professional terminology, and strong spoken English with neutral diction.
CPT, ICD-10, and Modifier Awareness: To prevent improper bundle denials, one must have a functional awareness of outpatient codes and know how to properly apply physician modifiers.
Persuasive Phone Etiquette: The capacity to guide phone calls, professionally confront ambiguous payer delay policies, and get insurance agents to provide specific re-adjudication dates.
System Navigation Agility: The degree of ease with which one may switch between intricate Practice Management (PM) screens, clearinghouse dashboards, and various insurance online portals while on the phone.
Target-Driven Endurance: Strong mental toughness to handle long wait times while on hold and sustain a steady, effective call pattern during the shift.
