Electrical Engineer Integrating Automation's Potential Future
Job Description
Duties:
System Design & Layout: Use CAD software to create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts for lighting, control, and power distribution systems.
Power Systems Management: Manage the installation and upkeep of circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) equipment.
Control Systems & PLC: To automate manufacturing processes, program and debug Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Testing & Commissioning: Prior to full-scale operation, thoroughly test electrical systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imagers to ensure performance and safety.
Compliance & Safety: Make sure that all installations and designs follow local safety laws and National Electrical Codes (NEC); use Lockout-Tagout techniques for maintenance.
Electrical load estimations, short-circuit analyses, and arc-flash studies should be carried out to guarantee system stability and security.
Focus Skills:
Software Proficiency: System modeling expertise in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or ETAP.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of power electronics, circuit theory, and electromagnetism.
Regulatory expertise: in-depth familiarity with local, IEEE, and IEC electrical codes.
Analytical Thinking: Excellent aptitude for identifying intricate electrical problems and creating backup system safeguards.
