E&I Technician Advances in Automated Process Employment
Job Description
The dual-skilled E&I technician is in charge of installing, adjusting, and maintaining precise electronic instrumentation as well as electrical power systems. You play a crucial part in making sure that industrial processes are fueled appropriately and that the sensors and control systems that oversee them deliver reliable data. You will work on a variety of devices, including PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) I/O modules, sensitive pressure transmitters, and high-voltage motors. A proactive troubleshooter with the ability to understand intricate technical instructions and uphold safety in high-stakes industrial settings is the ideal candidate.
Key Duties:
Installation and Commissioning: Set up sensitive equipment like temperature sensors, level transmitters, and flow meters in addition to electrical wiring, conduits, and cable trays.
Calibration & Testing: To guarantee measurement accuracy within predetermined tolerances, regularly calibrate instruments using specialized testing apparatus.
Electrical Maintenance: Diagnose and fix electrical parts such as contactors, MCC panels, VFDs, and lighting systems.
Instrument Loop Checking: To ensure that signals are sent from the field instruments to the Control Room accurately, run loop checks.
Support for PLC and Control Systems: Help with PLC cabinet maintenance, find and replace malfunctioning I/O cards, and make sure control circuits are properly grounded.
Preventive maintenance, or PM, is the process of carrying out planned maintenance procedures to stop unplanned malfunctions in vital systems, such as gas and fire detection systems or emergency shutdown valves.
