Job Description
The Vertical Machining Center's "Precision Executor" is the VMC Operator. Operating fast CNC vertical milling machines to create precise metal or plastic components is your main responsibility. As the "Quality Sentinel," you supervise the machine's cycle, make sure the cooling systems are operating, and confirm that every component made complies with the technical drawing. A disciplined professional with a "Detail-Oriented" mentality who can sustain high production volumes while guaranteeing the machine's safety and the integrity of the workpiece is the ideal choice.
Key Duties:
Machine Operation: Use 3-axis or 4-axis Vertical Machining Centers to execute preprogrammed sequences for drilling, boring, and milling.
Loading & Fixturing: As directed by the setup instructions, safely load raw materials or semi-finished items into vices, fixtures, or onto magnetic tables.
Dimensional Verification: Make sure items remain within tolerance by conducting regular in-process inspections with precise instruments including depth gauges, micrometers, and vernier calipers.
Offset Monitoring: To preserve accuracy, keep an eye on tool wear and make small wear offset adjustments at the controller.
Deburring and Finishing: Manually deburr and clean completed pieces to make sure they are free of sharp edges and prepared for the following step.
To avoid part rejection or machine damage, keep an eye out for dull or chipped cutting tools and notify the supervisor or setter.
