Your Duties: First-Article and In-Process Inspection: Conduct crucial First-Article Inspections (FAI) during startup, and then conduct regular in-process dimensional audits on the manufacturing line on an hourly or batch basis. Precision Metrology Management: Manage sophisticated measurement equipment, including digital micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical profile projectors, and Coordinate measurement Machines (CMM). Verify incoming raw materials and components from suppliers by comparing them to engineering drawings and material test certificates (MTC) before releasing them to assembly lines. Defect Containment & Isolation: Products found to be non-conforming during inspections should be quarantined right away. To stop unintentional use, issue Material Rejection Reports (MRR) and use physical red-tag segregation. Testing Calibration Schedules: Keep thorough traceability logs and oversee the regular calibration and monitoring of all gauges, laboratory testing apparatus, and inspection tools.
