Electrical Engineer Electrical Safety & Compliance Job Description The main "Electrical Power Anchor, Plant Automation Specialist, System Reliability Engine & Electrical Infrastructure Guardian" throughout our manufacturing operations is the Electrical Engineer in Manufacturing Industries Electrical Power Distribution, Automation Control, PLC Systems, Electrical Maintenance & Plant Infrastructure Specialist. Your main responsibility is to guarantee continuous power distribution, maintain HT/LT switchgear, optimise PLC/automation control panels, carry out preventative electrical maintenance, and eliminate electrical breakdown downtime throughout the facility, while plant directors and engineering heads create macro expansion plans, electrical capital budgets, and infrastructure roadmaps. As the "Guardian of Electrical Safety, Power Factor Optimisation, Control Reliability, and Energy Efficiency," you assume direct responsibility for upholding electrical safety compliance and power stability throughout all production units.

Responsibilities Plant Electrical Distribution & Power System Maintenance: Oversee, examine, and maintain transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, motor control centers, diesel generator synchronisation sets, and high and low tension power distribution systems. Automation, PLC & Drive Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, program, and maintain servo drives, HMIs, sensor networks, Variable Frequency Drives, and Programmable Logic Controllers in automated equipment and manufacturing lines. Electrical Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To avoid unscheduled power outages, implement organised electrical preventive maintenance procedures and predictive condition monitoring. Energy Efficiency & Power Factor Management: To reduce power costs, track plant energy usage, optimise capacitor banks for automatic power factor correction, and spearhead energy-saving projects. Strict adherence to electrical safety laws, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, earthing pit resistance checks, and statutory electrical inspectorate recommendations should be enforced.

Skills: Deep practical understanding of HT/LT sub-stations, transformers, ACBs, VCBs, MCC/PCC panels, motors, star-delta starters, and plant earthing systems is necessary for industrial electrical systems and power distribution. Mastery of PLC, VFD, and Industrial Automation: Practical knowledge of VFD parameterisation, servo motor alignment, HMI design, and PLC ladder logic programming and debugging (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi). Electrical Schematics & Control Circuit Reading: Proficient in reading and comprehending intricate multi-page electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and control wire diagrams. Electrical Safety Standards & Compliance: Expert knowledge of national electrical code compliance, arc-flash protection, LOTO procedures, and industrial electrical safety standards.
