Business Systems & Backend Reason Java Developer Job Description Duties: Enterprise Java & Microservices Architecture: Using contemporary Java (11+) and Spring Boot/Spring Frameworks, design, develop, and manage fault-tolerant, high-performance backend systems and RESTful microservices. Database design and persistence optimisation include creating sophisticated SQL, fine-tuning JPA/Hibernate ORM mappings, optimising query execution plans, and designing relational database schemas (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and non-relational storage (MongoDB, Redis). Asynchronous Messaging & Distributed Systems: To guarantee decoupled system communication, use event-driven topologies and streaming pipelines utilising message brokers like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS. Code Quality, Testing, and Security Automation: Write SOLID-compliant, clear, and maintainable Java code; use JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers to create automated testing suites; incorporate security measures. Cloud Operations & DevOps Integration: Work with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD build pipelines, deploy scalable services into AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerise Java services.

Focus Skills: Advanced Java Core & Spring Ecosystem Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security) and Java core principles (Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Streams API, JVM Internals, Memory Management). Microservices and RESTful API Engineering: Demonstrated ability to use Spring Cloud (Service Discovery, API Gateways, Circuit Breakers like Resilience4j) to create distributed microservice architectures. Advanced knowledge of SQL, database indexing, transaction management, Hibernate/JPA ORM, and caching techniques like Redis or Hazelcast. Event-Driven Messaging & Async Processing: Good practical experience using ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka to develop event-driven systems.
