Job Description:
The installation, upkeep, and repair of a facility's electrical and instrumentation systems fall within the purview of the dual-skilled E&I technician. This position guarantees the precise and secure operation of all manufacturing equipment, control systems, and measuring tools. By diagnosing electrical circuits and calibrating delicate devices like temperature sensors, flow meters, and pressure transmitters, the E&I Technician plays a critical role in reducing downtime.
Key Duties:
To guarantee ongoing operation, carry out planned inspections and maintenance on electrical motors, switchgear, and field instruments.
Use common test equipment to calibrate and validate different process instrumentation.
Find and fix issues with power distribution boards, lighting systems, wiring, and electrical control panels.
Help with field wiring and PLC and DCS I/O module maintenance and troubleshooting.
To guarantee the integrity of the signals between the field instruments and the control room, conduct loop checks and continuity testing.
Analyze loop drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics to identify and fix problems.
Follow stringent safety procedures, such as LOTO and operating in dangerous places.
React quickly to unforeseen malfunctions and get vital systems back up and running.
