Job Description: Setting up and running high-speed vertical milling machines to create precise components with intricate geometries is the responsibility of the VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator. This position entails working with a range of materials, mostly metals, to produce pieces that need to have excellent surface finishes and great precision. The ideal applicant can do machine offsets, choose the right cutting tools, and understand technical drawings. In a CNC-driven manufacturing setting, as a VMC Operator, you will make sure that production runs smoothly while strictly adhering to cycle times and quality requirements.

Key Skills: Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to run vertical machining centers with three or four axes. Precision Handling: being able to operate within narrow tolerances, such as ±0.01mm. Mathematical Proficiency: Proficient in shop math to compute dimensions and offsets. Problem Solving: The capacity to pinpoint the root causes of chatter, vibration, or uneven surface quality and implement solutions.
