Switch On Your Career Electrical Engineer Openings Job Description: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical systems, components, and equipment. This role involves working on a wide range of technologies, from power generation and distribution systems to industrial automation and electrical building services. You will ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international electrical standards (such as IEC or NEC). The ideal candidate is a technical expert capable of translating complex requirements into functional electrical blueprints while optimizing for energy efficiency and reliability.

Key Duties: System Design: Use CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN) to create electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and wiring layouts. Power Distribution: Create and supervise the installation of transformers, motor control centers (MCC), and low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) switchgear. Load Calculation: To guarantee system stability and safety, carry out electrical load analysis, cable sizing, and short-circuit calculations. Automation & Controls: Create control logic for industrial operations, such as integrating PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Protection & Earthing: To protect persons and equipment from electrical malfunctions, design lightning protection and earthing systems. Site Supervision: Oversee installation operations on-site and make sure contractors follow safety regulations and technical standards. Testing and Commissioning: For electrical panels and machinery, perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests.
