Electrical Technician Get a Part of a Group Improving Plant Safety
Job Description
Duties:
Installation & Wiring: Using technical drawings and regional building codes as a guide, lay out and install electrical wiring, conduits, and fixtures.
Troubleshooting and Repair: To find and address issues with electrical systems or components, use testing tools such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and multimeters.
Preventative Maintenance: Examine electrical systems, transformers, and switchgear on a regular basis to spot possible problems before they cause failure.
Component Replacement: To restore system functionality, replace malfunctioning fuses, switches, motors, and circuit breakers.
Blueprint Reading: To comprehend the design of current and future installations, analyze electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
Motor and Control Systems: In production settings, maintain and fix industrial motors, starters, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Safety & Compliance: Use Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols during repairs and make sure that all work complies with safety laws.
Focus Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of voltage controls, grounding methods, and AC/DC circuits.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use specialized tools and work with precision in confined or high-elevation spaces.
Problem-Solving: The ability to promptly identify electrical problems and put efficient fixes in place.
Safety awareness: a thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and the proper application of personal protective equipment
