Your Duties: Machine Setup: Make sure that the workpieces are properly aligned by loading them onto the machine table using a variety of work-holding tools, such as clamps, fixtures, or vises. Tooling & Offsets: Choose the appropriate cutting tools (taps, drills, and end mills) and insert them into the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC). Accurately adjust the offsets for tool length and diameter. G-code programs should be loaded into the controller and executed using "dry runs" or "single block" techniques to prevent tool conflicts. In-Process Inspection: During the production run, use precision tools like bore gauges, micrometers, and vernier calipers to check products and make any necessary adjustments to preserve quality. Chip & Coolant Management: To preserve a high-quality surface finish and avoid tool breakage, periodically check the flow of cutting fluid and clean metal chips.
