Your Duties: Machine Setup: Use setup sheets to mount, align, and secure work-holding devices such chucks, vises, and custom fixtures. Tooling Preparation: Choose and put the necessary cutting tools (drills, end mills, and inserts) into the tool changer. Use probes or manual touch-offs to adjust the tool's length and diameter offsets. Program Loading and Proving: Execute "Dry Runs" or "Single Block" executions to confirm tool paths after loading G-code programs into the machine controller (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens). Using micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges, run the first component and conduct a thorough dimensional layout to make sure it satisfies blueprint requirements. Offset Adjustments: To ensure tolerances are maintained throughout the production run, keep an eye on tool wear and precisely adjust the "Wear Offset" in the controller.
