Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: To create metal or plastic components, run preprogrammed sequences on CNC lathes, VMCs, or HMCs.
Loading and unloading involves securing raw materials into chucks, collets, or fixtures, removing completed pieces, and doing simple deburring to get rid of sharp edges.
In-Process Inspection: Regularly compare dimensions to the blueprint using accurate measuring equipment.
Tool Monitoring: Keep an eye on the machine's sound and vibration to spot tool dullness or breakage; replace worn inserts as directed by the setter.
Basic Offsets: To maintain parts within the designated tolerance range, make small wear offset adjustments on the controller.
Daily Maintenance: Keep the "Shine" in 5S by cleaning the machine's chips (swarf), monitoring coolant concentrations, and making sure the right amount of lubricant is applied.
Required Skills:
Capacity to read a depth gauge, micrometer, and vernier caliper with accuracy is a measurement skill.
Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and the capacity to recognize important dimensions.
The capacity to stand for extended periods of time and consistently carry out repetitive manual chores.
Strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is necessary to maintain discipline and guarantee zero failures.
