Create Your Next Step in Plant Operations CNC Operator
Job Description:
One essential element of the production team in charge of the day-to-day management of automated machining facilities is the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator. Loading raw materials, keeping an eye on the machining process, and making sure each completed product satisfies exacting quality standards are your main responsibilities. As the "eyes and ears" on the shop floor, you keep a high production pace by seeing tool wear before it leads to failures. The ideal applicant is well-behaved, meticulous, and at ease in a fast-paced industrial setting where accuracy is measured in microns.
Key Duties:
Operation of the machine: Produce metal or plastic components by following preprogrammed instructions on CNC lathes, VMCs, or HMCs.
Loading and unloading involves securing raw materials into chucks, collets, or fixtures, removing completed pieces, and using simple deburring to get rid of sharp edges.
In-Process Inspection: Regularly compare dimensions to the blueprint using precise measurement equipment.
Tool Monitoring: Keep an eye on the machine's sound and vibration to spot tool dullness or breakage, and replace worn inserts as directed by the setter.
Basic Offsets: Modify the controller's wear offset slightly to maintain parts within the designated tolerance range.
Daily Maintenance: Clean the machine of chips (swarf), check coolant concentrations, and make sure the right amount of lubricant is used to maintain the "Shine" in 5S.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
