Shift Ops Utility Maintenance Engineer Needed
Job Description:
The continuous provision of vital plant services, such as power, water, steam, compressed air, and HVAC, is the responsibility of the utility maintenance engineer. The central utility block, the "lifeline" of the factory, is your main responsibility. In addition to spearheading efforts to lower energy use and carbon emissions, you guarantee that manufacturing equipment never stops because of a utility outage. A technical expert in heavy machinery (boilers, chillers, compressors) with a strong emphasis on safety, legal compliance, and sustainable engineering is the perfect applicant.
Key Duties:
Central Utilities Operation and Maintenance: Manage high-capacity equipment's daily operations and preventive maintenance.
Energy Management: Track Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) and carry out initiatives to cut back on fuel, water, and power use.
Statutory Compliance: Verify that every piece of utility equipment conforms with all applicable laws (such as the Boiler Act, the Electrical Inspectorate, and the Pollution Control Board). Keep your safety certifications and licenses up to date.
Water and Waste Treatment: In order to comply with environmental discharge regulations, oversee the functioning of RO systems, STPs, and ETPs.
HVAC & Cleanroom Maintenance: To guarantee accurate temperature and humidity management in production areas, maintain AHUs (Air Handling Units) and chillers.
Contractor and Vendor Management: Oversee AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) suppliers of specialist equipment, such as UPS systems, fire hydrants, and elevators.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
