CNC Setter Use Your Ability to Make Devices Rise to Life
Job Description:
The machining department's "Technical Lead" and "Precision Architect" is the CNC Setter. Making sure that all fixtures, tools, and programs are precisely aligned to manufacture high-tolerance parts is your main responsibility as you set up, configure, and test out CNC machines for production. As the "First-Piece Expert," you take a project from a blueprint to a confirmed final product before sending it off for mass production. The ideal candidate is a master of machining strategy with a "Micron-Level" accuracy mindset, capable of reducing setup times while ensuring the total safety of the machine and the operator.
Key Duties
Machine Setup & Alignment: To guarantee zero run-out, firmly mount and align work-holding components such chucks, hydraulic vices, collets, or custom fixtures using dial indicators.
Tooling Preparation: Choose and put together the appropriate cutting instruments, then enter exact tool diameter and length offsets into the controller.
Program Proofing: To validate tool paths and make sure there are no collisions with the workpiece, chuck, or fixtures, upload NC files and run "Single Block," "Dry Run," or "Optional Stop" executions.
First-Article Inspection: To verify the setup, run a 100% dimensional check on the first item of a new batch using a CMM, height gauges, or profile projectors.
Controller Editing: To improve cycle times, account for tool wear, or fix small programming errors, make on-machine G-code/M-code adjustments.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
