Job Description
Duties:
Line Programming & Setup: Using CAD data and the Bill of Materials (BOM), develop, debug, and optimize programs for SMT machines (Pick & Place, Screen Printers, and AOI).
Process Optimization: Control the "Reflow Profile" (temperature settings) to guarantee excellent solder junctions without harming plastic substrates or heat-sensitive parts.
Stencil & Tooling Management: To guarantee precise solder paste deposition, design and verify SMT stencils and support fixtures.
Quality Control (AOI/SPI): Track the results of Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) to find and remove flaws like "tombstoning," "solder bridging," or "missing components."
Feeder & Inventory Management: To avoid wasting expensive components, supervise the configuration of component feeders and make sure that reels are loaded correctly.
Maintenance Coordination: To reduce downtime, perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on high-speed mounters.
Focus Skills:
SMT Process Mastery: A thorough grasp of every step of the SMT process, including reflow oven temperature profiling, screen printing, and adhesive dispensing.
Machinery expertise is the ability to operate and program key SMT machine brands, such as ASM, Yamaha, and Panasonic.
Technical troubleshooting: The capacity to employ IPC-A-610 standards for root cause investigation of soldering errors.
Data literacy is the ability to track yield and optimize component feeders using Microsoft Excel or specialized SMT software.
Precision & Detail: A "Zero-Defect" approach to electronics assembly and a keen eye for tiny component alignment.
