Manufacturing Design Ideas using Creo Engineer Job Description Duties: 3D Parametric Modelling & Advanced Surfacing: Use PTC Creo Parametric to create intricate 3D parametric models, multi-body assemblies, sheet metal components, cast/forged parts, and stylised surface geometries. 2D Manufacturing Drawings & GD&T Application: Using 3D Creo models, create fully annotated 2D production drawings with full tolerance stack-up validations and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards. Assembly Management & Interference Analysis: Conduct kinematic simulation and mechanism design in Creo to guarantee functional clearance, as well as global clearance and interference tests for big, complicated assemblies. BOM Management & PLM Data Administration: Use PTC Windchill PDM/PLM systems to check in and out CAD files, maintain part attributes, and organise multi-level Bills of Materials while carrying out Engineering Change Notices. DFM/DFA Optimisation & Tooling Interface: Work with the machining, casting, injection moulding, and sheet metal fabrication teams to integrate bend radii, wall thickness uniformity, draft angles, and ergonomic assembly into designs.

Focus Skills: Expert-level proficiency with PTC Windchill PDM/PLM integration and PTC Creo Parametric (Part, Assembly, Drawing, Sheetmetal, Flexible Modelling, Advanced Surfacing). GD&T & Tolerance Stack-Up Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of geometric controls, datum reference frames, manual or software-driven 1D/2D tolerance stack-up analysis, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes and Materials: A practical grasp of CNC machining procedures, engineering material properties, casting, forging, plastic injection moulding, and sheet metal forming. Reverse Engineering & Precision Measurement: The ability to reconstruct parametric 3D Creo models from physical components using precision measurement tools (CMM data, 3D scan meshes, micrometres, callipers).
