Bradford’s rental market » has changed drastically in just a few years. In 2021, two-bed terraces could be found for around £450–500/month. Today, in 2025, the same homes are listed at £750+, with bidding wars at viewings and queues of tenants competing for a single property.
While landlords point to higher mortgage rates, wages in Bradford haven’t kept pace. Families are doubling up, younger renters are moving back in with parents, and many feel priced out altogether.
At the same time, new “luxury” flats are popping up in the city centre — marketed to investors and commuters — while demand for affordable family homes grows more intense.
