Recovery isn't only about what you leave behind. It's also about building a life you genuinely enjoy.

Healthy activities, new experiences, friendships and time spent with people who understand recovery can all become meaningful parts of that life.

Recently, the guys at Learn to Live Recovery enjoyed a day of paintball at Wacky Warriors. The activity itself was fun, but the bigger picture was even more important: getting out, connecting with others, trying something new and creating positive memories.

Recovery creates room for those experiences.

Whether it's a new hobby, an outdoor activity, a shared meal or simply laughing with friends, healthy recreation can be part of discovering what life in recovery can look like.

Recovery isn't just about getting sober. It's about learning how to live.
