A global project to clean up agriculture, led by the United States and the United Arab Emirates, will include investments worth $8 billion in agricultural technologies.
“Some of this may go into emerging technologies. The notion of precision agriculture, everything from sensors and drones to understanding specifically each acre or hectare of land and what it needs and what it doesn’t need can, in turn, reduce inputs and the carbon footprint of those inputs,” said Tom Vilsack, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
