A psychiatric evaluation is an assessment of an individual’s mental, biological, and social functioning, based on the person’s present problems, direct observation and symptoms, with the purpose of making a diagnosis. The assessment is the first stage of a treatment process. They are also used for various legal purposes that are court ordered. The resulting diagnosis is followed by a treatment plan outlining the goals of treatment, which may include pharmacotherapy (medications), psychotherapy, or both. We also offer online/telehealth psychiatric evaluations for many conditions through our telehealth services » .
