Set up and operate polishing machines according to job specifications and production schedules. Select and install the appropriate polishing wheels, abrasives, belts, or compounds. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to achieve required surface finish, roundness, and dimensional tolerances. Load and unload components safely, ensuring proper alignment and clamping before machining. Verify all work meets quality standards, customer specifications, and engineering drawings. Identify defects such as scratches, chatter marks, material inconsistencies, or dimensional deviations.
