A Huge Platform for Charge Entry Experts Job Description The main "Front-End Revenue Anchor, Charge Entry Specialist, Claim Accuracy Engine & Billing Compliance Guardian" in our healthcare billing operations is the Charge Entry Executive in Medical Billing Revenue Cycle Operations, Demographic Entry, Code Entry, Claim Scrubbing & Revenue Analytics Specialist. Your main task is to collect, enter, and verify patient demographic information, medical codes, procedures, and provider charges into Practice Management (PM) systems while Chief Financial Officers, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Directors, and Billing Managers set macro financial strategies, fee schedules, payer contracting policies, and overall revenue targets. As the "Guardian of Charge Capture Precision, Clean Claim Rates, Demographic Accuracy, and Timely Submission," you have direct responsibility for converting clinical records into electronic claims that are ready for billing.

Key Duties Patient Demographic & Insurance Verification Entry: Correctly input and confirm policy numbers, subscriber data, coverage details, and patient personal information in the Practice Management system. Superbill & Charge Entry Processing: Enter charge amounts, diagnosis codes (ICD-10-CM), procedure codes (CPT/HCPCS), and modifiers from paper superbills or EHR encounter logs into the billing system. Pre-Billing Claim Scrubbing & Validation: To avoid front-end rejections, check entries against payer billing policies, clearinghouse regulations, National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) modifications, and charge schedules. Charge Lag and Unbilled Inventory Reduction: To minimise charge lag and unbilled encounter backlogs, make sure that daily charge capture compliance is maintained. Cross-Functional Billing Coordination: Before submitting a claim, work with medical coders, patient access teams, and AR analysts to address any missing paperwork, unlinked diagnosis codes, or incorrect provider information.
