Job Description
Duties:
Database Design & Modeling: Create physical and logical database structures while guaranteeing effective relationship mapping and data normalization.
Query Development: To support application features and reporting requirements, create and optimize intricate T-SQL, PL/SQL, or PostgreSQL queries.
Stored Procedures & Functions: To automate business logic and enhance application performance, create and manage stored procedures, views, and triggers.
Performance tuning: Use indexing techniques and query reworking to lower latency; examine execution plans to find bottlenecks.
ETL Processes: Create and oversee Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to combine data from several sources using programs like Informatica, SSIS, or Python.
Data Integrity & Security: To safeguard sensitive data, put restrictions, data validation guidelines, and security procedures into place.
Backup & Recovery: Work with DBAs to make sure that disaster recovery strategies and reliable backup schedules are in place.
Focus Skills:
RDBMS Mastery: Proficiency in at least one of the main SQL dialects, such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, or MySQL.
Optimization: Expertise in indexing, partitioning, and performance tweaking of big datasets.
Tools: Knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, DBeaver, or SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Architecture: A solid grasp of relational database concepts and ACID characteristics.
