Python Development Group Software Engineer Job Description Responsibilities: Backend Application & Microservices Development: Using Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask), design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and clean backend services, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous microservices. Database Design and Query Optimisation: Create effective queries, optimise ORM execution (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM) for high-throughput speed, and design relational and non-relational database schemas. API Integration & Third-Party Services: Create and use webhooks, third-party services, and external APIs while guaranteeing reliable data serialisation, payload validation, and error handling. System Refactoring, Testing, and Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, restructure legacy modules for readability and performance, and write thorough unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites (PyTest, Unittest) to maintain high code coverage. Data Processing & Pipeline Integration: To enable real-time data handling and reporting modules, build scalable data processing pipelines, ETL scripts, and background job queues.
