Your Duties: Machine Operation: Workpieces are loaded and unloaded into CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, or routers, and preprogrammed sequences are carried out. Setup & Tooling: Using the setup sheet as a guide, choose and install the appropriate cutting tools (drills, end mills, inserts) and work-holding devices. Dimensional Inspection: To confirm that the first-off and production parts adhere to blueprint specifications, use precise tools including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators. Offset Adjustments: To keep part accuracy within microns, keep an eye on tool wear and make the required "wear offsets" in the machine controller. Troubleshooting: Find and notify the maintenance or programming team right away of any machine issues, strange noises, or broken tools. Routine Maintenance: Complete "TPM" (Total Productive Maintenance) duties every day, such as cleaning metal chips, oiling slides, and monitoring coolant levels.
