VMC Setter Achieving Precision Requirements
Job Description:
The "Technical Architect" and "Process Precision Expert" for vertical milling processes is the VMC Setter (Vertical Machining Center Setter). Converting engineering concepts and 3D algorithms into reliable, repeatable production processes is your main goal. As the "Critical Setup Specialist," you are in charge of choosing workholding, adjusting tooling, and maximizing cutting parameters to guarantee that the first component satisfies all quality requirements.
Key Duties
Advanced Machine Configuration: Make sure the machine bed is clear and the workholding is precisely squared and leveled. Install and align intricate fixtures, rotary tables (4th/5th axis), and precision vises.
Tooling Calibration: Use touch probes or manual setup techniques to precisely fix tool length and diameter offsets after loading specialized milling tools (Face mills, End mills, Taps, U-drills).
Program Verification: To confirm tool clearances and avoid spindle or machine crashes, upload NC files and carry out a thorough "Dry Run" or "Single Block" check.
Work Offset Establishment: To guarantee that the machine comprehends the precise location of the workpiece in relation to the spindle, compute and enter precise work coordinates.
First-Piece Approval: Complete the first sample's machining and do a thorough inspection with precision tools to confirm all dimensions and GD&T specifications.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
Warm Regards,
