Production Engineer Boost Output Efficiency Job Description The main 'Shop-Floor Execution Anchor, Production Output Specialist, Line Efficiency Engine & Manufacturing Process Guardian' in our plant operations is the Production Engineer Production Planning, Shop-Floor Operations, Process Optimisation & Manufacturing Engineering Specialist. Your main responsibility is to oversee daily shop-floor assembly and machining lines, guarantee optimal machine and labour utilisation, promote Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and carry out daily production schedules while plant managers and industrial engineering leads define high-level manufacturing strategies, capital expenditure plans, and monthly production targets. As the "Guardian of Line Productivity, Cycle Time Compliance, Workstation Ergonomics, and Shop-Floor Safety," you assume direct responsibility for ensuring that raw materials are delivered to final products on schedule and within budget.

Key Duties Manage shift operations across machining, fabrication, or assembly lines to reliably meet daily production goals while upholding stringent quality standards. Capacity Planning & Line Balancing: To remove bottlenecks, reduce idle time, and maximise cycle times across workstations, carry out line balancing, workload distribution, and time-and-motion studies. OEE Improvement & Downtime Minimisation: Monitor machine downtime, pinpoint the underlying reasons for malfunctions or setup delays, work with maintenance teams to find quick fixes, and consistently promote OEE improvement. Process Control & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Make that shop floor technicians follow SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), safety regulations, process parameters, and 5S workplace discipline to the letter. Scrap Reduction & Continuous Improvement: Take the lead in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma projects to cut down on material waste, get rid of scrap, and improve assembly flow.
