QC Engineer Process Quality Evaluation and Testing Job Description Experience: 0 to 3 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in EEE Location: In And Around Chennai

Your Duties: Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection: Compare engineering drawings and quality control plans with physical, dimensional, and visual inspections of raw materials, outsourced components, in-process machined parts, and completed goods. Precision Metrology & Equipment Operation: To confirm crucial dimensions, use the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Vernier callipers, micrometres, height gauges, bore gauges, surface roughness testers, profile projectors, and hardness testers. First-Off & SetupClearance: Before authorising mass production runs, physically clear the dimensions of the initial "first-off" sample components following setup modifications on machining, fabrication, or assembly lines. Non-Conformance Containment & Defect Logging: To stop defects from escaping, identify, quarantine, and tag non-conforming materials; issue Non-Conformance Reports; separate scrap; and keep an eye on rework lines. Gauge Calibration & Maintenance: Conduct routine Measurement System Analysis checks, confirm daily gauge zero-setting, and adhere to the shop-floor gauge calibration monitoring plan.
