Standard Industrial Power Transmission Electrical Engineer Job Description The main "Electrical Reliability Anchor, Industrial Automation Specialist, Power Distribution Engine & Electrical Equipment Guardian" for our manufacturing plant operations is the Electrical Maintenance Engineer-Industrial Electrical Systems, Preventive Maintenance, PLC/Automation & Power Distribution Specialist. Your main responsibility is to maintain, troubleshoot, optimise, and repair all plant electrical infrastructure, power distribution networks, motor control centers (MCC), variable frequency drives (VFD), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and automated manufacturing machinery, while plant directors and engineering heads set high-level capital expenditure budgets, infrastructure upgrades, and overall facility strategies. As the "Guardian of Electrical Uptime, Power Factor Optimisation, Electrical Safety Compliance, and Continuous Production Reliability," you assume direct responsibility for removing electrical downtime and guaranteeing continuous plant operations.

Key Duties Plant Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: To reduce emergency downtime, identify, diagnose, and fix electrical problems in production lines, motors, high/low voltage switchgear, transformers, VFDs, control panels, and industrial machinery. PLC, Automation & Control Systems Maintenance: Examine, program, and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols, sensors, servo drives, SCADA systems, HMIs, and PLCs. Execute planned electrical preventive maintenance procedures, thermography audits, insulation resistance tests, and vibration/current analyses on motors and electrical panels as part of preventive and predictive maintenance. Power Distribution & Energy Management: To maintain the best possible power factor and energy efficiency, supervise the plant's power distribution systems, high-tension/low-tension panels, diesel generators, UPS systems, and capacitor banks. Strict electrical safety regulations, lockout/tagout protocols, statutory electrical inspector compliance, statutory earth resistance testing, and arc flash safety should all be enforced throughout the work floor.
