Design Quality Criteria QA Engineer
Job Description
The main "Quality Assurance Anchor, Process Audit Specialist, Defect Prevention Engine & Manufacturing Compliance Guardian" in all of our manufacturing facilities is the QA Engineer in Manufacturing Industries Quality Assurance, Inspection Standards, Process Control, Defect Analysis & Quality Analytics Specialist. Your main responsibility is to design, implement, audit, and maintain strict quality assurance processes, inspection protocols, and product testing procedures, while Quality Directors, Plant Managers, and Chief Operating Officers (COO) set macro quality policies, customer SLAs, regulatory standards, and plant-wide operational frameworks. As the "Guardian of Zero-Defect Manufacturing, Process Capability, Customer Specification Compliance, and Quality System Integrity," you assume direct execution responsibility for making sure that finished goods, in-process assemblies, and raw materials adhere to quality standards and engineering drawings.
Responsibilities:
Quality System Implementation & Auditing: Create, uphold, and enforce control plans, standard inspection methods, and quality assurance protocols in accordance with industry frameworks.
In-Process and Final Product Inspection: Conduct and supervise receipt, in-process, and final quality inspections, comparing functional, material, and dimensional characteristics to engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Capability Analysis: Use control charts, keep an eye on manufacturing line process capabilities, and spot process drift to stop non-conformances before they happen.
Root-Cause Analysis & Corrective Action: To carry out successful CAPAs, oversee interdisciplinary investigations for internal scrap, customer complaints, and line rejects utilising organised problem-solving techniques.
Supplier Quality & New Product Introduction (NPI): Work together with suppliers to address problems with raw material quality, carry out supplier audits, and complete APQP/PPAP paperwork for the introduction of new products or changes to existing designs.
Skills:
Manufacturing Quality & Core Tools Mastery: In-depth knowledge of ISO/IATF standards as well as core quality frameworks APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis).
Precision Metrology and Blueprint Reading: Expertise in interpreting intricate engineering drawings, using precision instruments (CMM, Vernier Callipers, Micrometres, Optical Comparators), and performing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving: demonstrated expertise in implementing strong Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), 5-Why root-cause analysis, Cause-and-Effect diagrams, and directing 8D investigations.
Process Control & Yield Improvement: Practical expertise in determining capability indices, examining scrap patterns, and spearheading initiatives for continuous improvement
